Commercial Flooring Cartel Conviction
A cartel in the procurement of flooring contracts for major international companies in the Leinster area that was in existence between 2011 and 2013 was reported to the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC).
Members of Home Heating Oil Cartel convicted of price fixing
In a period spanning 11 years and concluding in 2012, the Director of Public Prosecutions successfully secured 18 separate convictions against 10 companies and 8 individuals.
Members of Citroën Dealers Association cartel convicted of price fixing
In total 14 convictions, comprising eight individuals and six undertakings, were secured by the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) in relation to an investigation conducted by the Competition Authority (Authority), from the mid-1990’s to 2007, involving a price fixing cartel in the sale of Citroën cars.
Ford Dealer cartel conviction
An investigation commenced by the Competition Authority (Authority) in January 2004 led to the successful prosecution by the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) in 2007 of a facilitator of a cartel agreement, Mr Denis Manning. Mr Denis Manning was convicted of aiding and abetting a cartel within the Irish Ford Dealers Association (IFDA).
