Suzuki recalls certain ‘Grand Vitara’ passenger vehicles

Suzuki Cars (Ireland) Limited is carrying out a voluntary recall on certain ‘Grand Vitara’ passenger vehicles. The vehicles affected were produced from 12 May 1998 to 9 January 1999.

A safety issue has been identified, whereby, there is a potential for moisture to be absorbed into the propellant, there is potential for this to cause the air bag not to inflate properly in the event of deployment

Approximately 586 vehicles in the Republic of Ireland are affected by this recall campaign.

What to do

Suzuki Cars (Ireland) Limited have written directly to all customers advising them to make an appointment with their local Authorised Repairer where any necessary repairs and/or replacement of parts will be carried out.
