I.M. Automotive Limited t/a Subaru Ireland recalls certain passenger vehicles

I.M. Automotive Limited t/a Subaru Ireland is carrying out a voluntary recall of a number of Subaru passenger vehicles which are listed below:

 

Legacy & Outback – Production years 2004 to 2009

Impreza – Production years 2008 to 2010

 

There are 521 vehicles affected on the Irish market.

I.M. Automotive Limited t/a Subaru Ireland has established that the fuel pump harness connector can overheat and melt, causing the fuel pump to become inoperative. As a result, the engine will stall or will not be able to start, increasing the risk of an accident.

 

What to do:

 

I.M. Automotive Limited t/a Subaru Ireland will be writing directly to those consumers affected by this recall.

The letter will advise affected vehicle owners to contact their nearest Subaru dealer or authorised repairer where the fuel pump harness connector will be inspected and repaired as required.
