Subaru recalls certain ‘Outlook’ & ‘Legacy’ passenger vehicles

May 28, 2020

Subaru Ireland is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain ‘Outlook’ and ‘Legacy’ models of passenger vehicle.

A safety issue has been identified whereby, the capacitors on the internal circuit board and the sensor’s magnetic ring in the control unit of the electronic parking brake (EPB) may crack while the vehicle is in use. When they crack, the warning light comes on and the EPB may not apply, momentarily releasing or applying the brakes when the vehicle is travelling at a low speed.

The vehicles in question were manufactured between 2010 and 2014. There are approximately 274 vehicles affected on the Irish Market.

What to do:

Subaru Ireland will be writing directly to all affected customers advising them to make an appointment with their local dealer/authorised repairer, where any necessary repairs/replacement of parts will be carried out.

If you believe that your vehicle may be impacted by this recall then you can contact Subaru Ireland directly on 018108800 , or alternatively by email on info@subaru.ie.
