Mercedes-Benz reissues operating manual for certain X-class vehicles

Mercedes-Benz are reissuing the operating manual for certain X-class vehicles. The vehicles were manufactured between August 2017 and 14 February 2020.

 

The operating manual in its current form may result in the roof load being exceeded in real-world driving conditions if a canopy is retrofitted on the loading platform. Should an accident occur, the canopy may break and the roof load may become detached and fall.

This affects 116 vehicles in the Republic of Ireland.

What to do:

Mercedes-Benz will directly contact all affected customers requesting them to bring their vehicles to the nearest dealership to obtain a new operators manual.
