Hyundai recalls certain ‘Santa Fe’ passenger vehicles

Hyundai Cars Ireland Unlimited Company is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain ‘Santa Fe’ passenger vehicles.

A safety issue has been identified whereby, if dirt and humidity enter the ABS control module, a short-circuit may occur. This may result in an electrical overload and increase the risk of a fire.

The vehicles in question were manufactured between 2006 and 2008. There are approximately 7,396 vehicles affected on the Irish Market.

What to do:

Hyundai Cars Ireland Unlimited Company will be writing directly to all affected customers advising them to make an appointment with their local dealer/authorised repairer, where all necessary repairs/replacement of parts will be carried out.
