Henry Ford & Son Limited recalls certain ‘Ford S-Max, Galaxy’ passenger vehicles
March 2, 2021
Henry Ford & Son Limited is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain ‘Ford S-Max, Galaxy’ passenger vehicles. The vehicles were produced between 20 January 2015 and 18 February 2020.
A safety issue has been identified whereby the original control arm bolts on the rear suspension of certain S-Max and Galaxy vehicles are prone to corrosion; this may cause the screws to fail. If the bolt fails, the steering control of the vehicle is reduced, and this increases the risk of an accident.
There are approximately 2,039 vehicles affected on the Irish market.
What to do:
Henry Ford & Son Limited has sent a letter to affected customers informing them of the recall and the next steps to be taken.
