Ducati recalls certain Monster Motorcycles

Nextcar Limited is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain Monster 821, Monster 1200/1200S, and Monster 1200R motorcycles.

The affected vehicles were produced between:

• Monster 1200/1200S: 2014-2021
• Monster 1200R: 2016-2019
• Monster 821: 2015-2021

A safety issue has been identified with the affected vehicles whereby the rear brake hoses on affected motorcycles may be susceptible to heat damage, which may cause a sudden loss of rear brake function and increase the risk of a crash.

There are approximately 25 affected vehicles in the Republic of Ireland.

What to do:

Nextcar Limited is currently contacting all affected customers advising them to make an appointment with their local Authorised Repairer where any necessary repairs/replacements of parts will be carried out.
