BMW recalls certain K1600 motorcycles

BMW Automotive (Ireland) Limited is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain BMW K1600GT, K1600GTL, and K1600BAGGER motorcycles.

The affected products were produced between 19 July 2018 to 29 June 2020.

A safety issue has been identified with the affected products where non-specification control links may result in the sudden flagging of the vehicle. The control link in question will be replaced in the vehicles.

There are approximately 13 affected motorcycles in the Republic of Ireland.

 

What to do:

BMW Automotive (Ireland) Limited will directly contact all affected customers advising them to make an appointment with their local Authorised Repairer were any necessary repairs/replacements of parts will be carried out.
