Bose Products B.V recalls to repair Acoustimass®, Lifestyle® and Companion™ home theatre audio systems

Bose Products B.V is carrying out a recall to repair on Acoustimass®, Lifestyle® and Companion™ home theatre audio systems.

 

 

The risk reported to the CCPC is that of fire.  A thermal event can occur inside of the unit leading to the bass module catching fire.

The Brand is Bose. The models are ACOUSTIMASS® 5 SERIES IV POWERED SPEAKER SYSTEM, ACOUSTIMASS® 6 III HOME ENT. SYSTEM, ACOUSTIMASS® 10 III HOME ENT. SYSTEM, ACOUSTIMASS® 15 HOME THEATER SPEAKER SYSTEM, ACOUSTIMASS® 15 II HOME ENT. SYSTEM, ACOUSTIMASS® 16 HOME ENT. There are approximately 1064 affected products in the Republic of Ireland.

What to do:

Consumers are asked to unplug and cease using the affected products and return them to Bose or an authorized service centre in exchange for a free repair or a 40% discount on a replacement product or, if repair is not available in your location, a free replacement product.
