The product presents a risk of suffocation. The presence of the head covering has been associated with sudden infant death syndrome.

The brand is Ortorex and the Baby Wrap Sleeping Bags made available were for three age categories – 0-3 months; 6 months; 9 months – in various colours and materials:

Blue fleece; Brown fleece; Gray flannel; Gray fleece; Khaki Flannel; Pink flannel; Pink fleece; Red fleece; White flannel; White fleece.

The product was sold online through the Ortorex website. The number of affected products in the Republic of Ireland is unknown.
