A safety issue has been identified with a Uppblåsbar strandboll Beach Ball sold on Shein online marketplace.

 

The product presents a chemical risk due to the excessive concentrations of phthalates in the pink plastic material of the ball, which can harm children’s health by potentially damaging their reproductive system. Additionally, the product contains short-chain chlorinated paraffins (SCCPs), This poses significant risks to both human health and the environment. Prolonged skin exposure to SCCPs may also increase the risk of cancer.

The type/number of model is GU01404. The barcode is B240425141217. The brand and batch number are unknown.

There are approximately 20 affected products in the Republic of Ireland. The product was sold by third-party seller, Tianmen Tereiyang E-commerce Co. on Shein marketplace.

If you purchased one of these products, please stop use immediately, discard the product, and keep it out of the reach of children.
