Petzl Distribution SAS Recalls NEWTON, NEWTON FAST, and NEWTON EASYFIT Harnesses – European Versions

Petzl Distribution SAS is carrying out a recall on NEWTON, NEWTON FAST and NEWTON EASYFIT Harnesses – European Versions.
The risk reported to the CCPC is injuries. On the affected harnesses, the FAST LT buckle (see image above) is positioned at the chest and is used to fasten the harness. If the harness is attached via the dorsal point and the FAST LT buckle breaks, the harness becomes unfastened. If the user falls or is suspended in the harness, it is possible for them to completely exit the harness and fall to the ground.

Consumers should stop using the product immediately. To check if your product is affected by this recall, please review the Petzl safety notice . Only certain batches of harnesses manufactured in 2022 are affected by the recall.
