Bosch/Neff – Important Safety Notice
February 21, 2017
BSH Home Appliances Ltd is conducting a voluntary safety campaign regarding two models of built-in gas hobs. The reason is potential damage to installed gas connectors. In certain circumstances, gas can escape in an uncontrolled manner and in extremely rare cases, a risk of explosion can arise.
This concerns the following built-in gas hobs sold in Ireland and the United Kingdom:
Product | Product code | Production
period |
Bosch built-in gas hob (knobs on the right side) | NGU4151DB | 2009 – 2011 |
Neff built-in gas hob (knobs on the right side) | T20S31N0 | 2009 – 2011 |
BSH is offering every owner of an affected appliance a free replacement of the gas connector by an authorised service engineer at the owner’s home. BSH requests all customers of a product listed above to check whether their appliance is affected by this safety campaign.
What to do:
BSH Home Appliances Ltd advice is to note down the model number (E-Nr.) and batch number (FD) on the rating plate on your appliance or original user manual. Then check on www.gascookingsafety.com whether your model is affected.
If your appliance is affected and to avoid any potential hazard until the gas connector is replaced, owners of an affected appliance should turn off the gas supply to the appliance and no longer use until the repair completed.
