Honda Ireland is recalling certain Jazz and Insight models. This recall is being carried out due to a potential problem with the front driver air bag inflator. The airbag could deploy abnormally in a cash which could possibly lead to injury.

This recall is an extension and a separate recall to previous ones relating to this issue. The production range for the Jazz and the Insight is from 2007 to 2011 and 824 vehicles are affected.

What to do
Honda Ireland will be contacting the owners of all affected vehicles by mail and asking them to take their vehicle to a Honda dealer or authorised repairer. The dealer will arrange for the replacement of the inflator if necessary. This work will be carried out at no cost to the owner.
