Toyota recalls Auris Hybrid & Prius models

Toyota is carrying out a voluntary recall on certain Auris Hybrid & Prius models produced between May 2010 and November 2014.
This recall involves an issue with the software used to control the boost converter in the Intelligent Power Module (IPM). The IPM is part of the inverter assembly and the hybrid system. No parts are required to complete this software update.
The number of vehicles involved in Ireland in respect of this recall is 589.
What to do
Toyota Ireland will be contacting the owners of all affected vehicles by mail and asking them to take their vehicle to a Toyota dealer. The dealer will arrange to update the IPM software on all involved vehicles. This work will be carried out at no cost to the owner.
