Volkswagen Ireland recall Skoda Superb
January 5, 2016
Volkswagen Ireland is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain Skoda Superb cars built between July and November 2015.
The affected vehicles require a check of an interior connection to ensure it is locked securely to the manufacturer’s specification. If not secured correctly this can lead to various electronic functions of the vehicle failing. If this fault occurs while driving, the vehicle remains manoeuvrable until it comes to a halt.
There are 383 vehicles affected in Ireland.
What to do:
Skoda Ireland will be writing directly to those owners involved in the recall to arrange to have their vehicles checked. The letter will advise you to contact your nearest Authorised Skoda Service Centre who will carry out the check and if needed the rectification, free of charge.
