Volkswagen recall Passat
February 22, 2016
Volkswagen Ireland are recalling a number of Volkswagen Passat cars built between January and July 2015.
The effected vehicles require a check of an interior electrical connection to ensure it is locked securely to the manufacturers specification. If not secured correctly this can lead to various electric problems. If a fault occurs while driving, the vehicle remains manoeuvrable until it comes to a halt.
There are 3,160 vehicles effected in Ireland.
What to do:
Volkswagen Ireland will be writing directly to those owners involved in the recall to arrange to have their vehicles checked. The letter will advise you to contact your nearest Authorised Volkswagen Service Centre who will carry out the check and if needed the rectification, free of charge.
You can also contact Volkswagen Ireland directly on: 1850 812 761.
