Toyota extends recall of Hilux and Yaris

Toyota Ireland is carrying out a further voluntary recall of certain models of the Hilux and Yaris to cover vehicles manufactured between July 2011 and December 2014.

The recall is being carried out due to a potential problem with the front driver’s airbag. The driver’s airbag could deploy abnormally in a crash which could possibly lead to injury.

There are 8,305 affected vehicles on the Irish market.

What to do:

Toyota Ireland will be writing directly to those customers involved in this recall to arrange to have the repair carried out.  The letter will advise you to contact your nearest Toyota Dealer/Authorised Repairer who will arrange to do the repair free of charge.
