Sanyo microwave recall

Sanyo is carrying out a voluntary recall of two of its microwave oven models:

• EM-C8787B UK2 (a black colour)
• EM-C8787W (a white colour)

These were sold in retailer outlets from March 2010 to halfway through January 2012.  This recall is being carried out because of a risk of electric shock.

263 of these units have been sold in Ireland.

What to do:

If you think you have this product, stop using it immediately and return it to the shop where you bought it for a full refund.  You can also contact Sanyo Customer Helpline on 01 4568910 (this will be charged as a local call).

No other Sanyo microwave ovens are affected.  If you own a Sanyo microwave oven that does not match these model numbers, no action is required.
