Hotpoint and Indesit Dishwasher Safety Notice

Indesit Company Ireland is aware of a number of cases of Hotpoint/Indesit dishwashers which were sold on to the Irish Market prior to 2011, where an electrical component can fail. This may lead to overheating and, in rare cases, a potential fire hazard.

What to do

Check the model number of your Hotpoint or Indesit dishwasher. This can be found either engraved on the top of the door or on a sticker on the left/right hand side of the inner part of the door.

You can then check whether your dishwasher is one of the affected models at either the Hotpoint or Indesit website.

If you have one of the affected models, or if you are unsure whether you do, call the Hotpoint/Indesit customer service line on 0818 776 188, (Monday to Friday 08:00am to 6:30pm, Saturday 8.30am to 5:30pm, Sunday 9:30am to 3:30pm).

Indesit will arrange to visit your home and make a free of charge repair.

While you are waiting for an engineer to visit, Indesit recommend not to leave the dishwasher unattended while in use.
