Ford recalls Kuga
August 30, 2017
Ford Ireland are recalling the certain models of the Ford Kuga built between 17 July 2012 and 19 June 2014. The number of vehicles affected in Ireland is 786.
Ford has identified a non-compliance where, in the event of an impact event which deploys the front seat belt retractor pre-tensioner, there is a possibility that the insulation material on the inner face of lower ‘B’ pillar trim could be subjected to a concentrated heat source that could ignite the insulation material, resulting in fire.
What to do
Ford Ireland will be writing directly to those owners who may have an affected vehicle to arrange to have their vehicles checked, and to arrange to do the repair free of charge
Ford Ireland can be contacted by telephone on 1 800 771199
