BMW Ireland is carrying out a voluntary recall of BMW Models BMW 1, BMW 3, BMW M3, BMW X1, and BMW Z4 listed in the information below.
Vehicles concerned
BMW 1 Series 3 door Sports Hatch, Coupé, 5 door Sports Hatch and Convertible Models E81, E82, E87 and E88
BMW 3 Series Sedan, Touring, Coupé and Convertible Models E90, E91, E92 and E93
BMW M3 Sedan, M3 Coupé and M3 Convertible Models E90, E92 and E93 with S65 engine
BMW X1 Model E84
BMW Z4 Model E89
The vehicles listed were manufactured between March, 2007 and October 2011 with both diesel and petrol variants included.
The fault involves a battery positive cable connection to the front power distribution box, which could lead to a possible fire.
This recall affects 10,602 vehicles in Ireland.
