Mitsubishi Motors Ireland recalls ASX Models

 

Mitsubishi Motors is voluntarily recalling ASX models, manufactured between 2011 – 2015, having identified that due to the inappropriate water proof structure of the front deck, water can drop on the wiper link.  Water drops on the wiper link ball joint may cause corrosion, and cause excessive wear of the resin part of the ball joint.  In the worst case, the wiper link may detach itself and the windshield wipers may be inoperative.

 

AFFECTED UNITS:

556 units, produced between April 2010 and September 2014, were sold in Ireland

 

What To Do

Mitsubishi Motors Ireland is writing to all registered owners to arrange for the replacement of the wiper link with a new one.
