Toyota recalls passenger vehicle Aygo
November 14, 2018
Toyota Ireland is carrying out a voluntary recall of Toyota Aygo vehicles.
The risk identified regards the possibility that the glue holding the glass on the rear door could detach. If this occurs, the glass will only remain attached by one fixation point.
As a consequence, noise, vibration or water entry could be noticed by customer.
In certain condition, the glass could move from its original position and could hang on the door panel (remaining attached to its pivot point). If this would happen, Toyota cannot guarantee that the glass would not detach completely from the vehicle.
The recalled model is the Toyota Aygo and they were manufactured between July 2005 and December 2013. 2,314 affected vehicles were made available on the Irish market.
What to do:
Toyota Ireland will be writing directly to those customers affected in this recall to arrange to have the affected parts in their vehicles replaced.
The letter will advise consumers affected by this voluntary recall to contact their nearest Toyota Dealer/Authorised Repairer who will arrange to do the repair free of charge. Toyota Ireland can be contacted on: 01 419 0222.
