Volvo Ireland recalls certain models

Volvo Ireland is carrying out a voluntary recall of the V40, V40CC, XC90, S60, S60CC, V60, V60CC, XC60, V70, XC70, and S80 models.

The manufacturing period of the affected vehicles is between 11/04/2015 to 30/05/2016.

Involved vehicles may have small cracks on the inside of the rubber fuel hose. Over time this could lead to a fuel leak within the engine compartment. The most common symptom reported will be a smell of diesel.

There are 1,929 affected vehicles on the Irish market.

What to do

Letters will be sent by Volvo to the owners of affected vehicles informing them of the recall and asking that they arrange for an appointment to have the required work completed.
