BMW Recalls Passenger Vehicle X1 F48 models

BMW Ireland is carrying out a voluntary recall of BMW X1 F48 models vehicles manufactured between October 2018 and January 2019.
The rear lights in affected vehicles might be fixed with securing nuts, which may not have been produced to supplier specifications. The securing nuts may have an excessive application with oil. This could lead to cracks in the rear light bracket caused by an oil infiltration. As a result the, the rear light could separate from the vehicle.
This recall affects 207 vehicles in Ireland.
What to do:
BMW Ireland will be writing directly to those customers affected in this recall to arrange to have the affected parts in their vehicles replaced.
The letter will advise consumers affected by this voluntary recall to contact their nearest BMW Dealer/Authorised Repairer who will arrange to do the repair free of charge. BMW Ireland can be contacted on: 1890 719 421
