Argos recalls Mamas and Papas Infant Carriers

Argos is carrying out a voluntary recall of Mamas and Papas Infant Carriers.   The recall is for The Mercury Group 0+ (0-313kg/newborn-approx 12 months), catalogue numbers 316/9539 and 382/0971.

Issue:

A manufacturing defect has been identified with two particular models whereby the materials used fail to meet the Furniture & Furnishings (Fire)(Safety) Regulations 1988.

• ECE R44.04 approval number 045036

Mamas & Papas Mercury Infant Carrier (Grey)

• Affected seats have grey covers
• Group 0+
• Catalogue number 382/0971
• Model number 4735925D1
• ECE R44.04 approval number 045036

The ECE approval number can be found on an orange sticker located on the side of the carrier:

The model number can be found on a small white sticker on the side of the infant carrier. There are 3 sets of numbers on this sticker, the model is the middle one beginning in 473… and ending in …D1

What to do:

If you have purchased one of these carriers please stop using it and return to your nearest Argos store for a full refund. You do not need proof of purchase.
