Audi Ireland Recalls passenger vehicles on certain Audi A4, A5 and Q5 models
January 19, 2018
Audi Ireland is carrying out a voluntary recall on certain Audi A4, A5 and Q5 models that were produced between April 2011 and May 2015.
Audi AG has established during on-going product quality analysis, that the auxiliary heater element in the air conditioner may fail on Audi vehicles manufactured within the above limited period. In rare cases, this may lead to thermal damage.
This affects 4069 cars in Ireland.
What to do:
Audi Ireland will be writing directly to the owners of the affected vehicles to arrange to have their vehicles updated. The letter will advise owners to contact their nearest authorised Audi service centre to have the required action completed which will be free of charge. You can also contact Audi Ireland customer care directly on: 1850 812 760.
Audi Ireland would also like to point out that the auxiliary/supplementary heater can be switched off from the CAR menu / A/C submenu on the MMI system (details of this are available in the car’s Owner’s Manual).
