BMW Motorrad AG recalls BMW S 1000 R and S 1000 XR Motorcycles

BMW Motorrad is carrying out a recall of BMW S 1000 R and S 1000 XR Motorcycles.
The affected products were manufactured from 03 April 2019 to 20 December 2022.
The risk reported to the CCPC is that of Injuries as following a software update, any custom settings for “Dynamic Pro” mode are reset to factory settings (take-off detection is disabled) without the customer being automatically informed of this reset. As a result, the front wheel lift will neither be suppressed nor controlled, increasing the risk of an accident.
There are approximately 30 affected products in the Republic of Ireland.

If you purchased one of these products, please discontinue use immediately and check if your vehicle is affected by visiting the BMW Motorrad UK Recall Search Page and input your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).
