BMW Motorrad AG recalls BMW S 1000 R, S 1000 RR, M 1000 RR, S 1000 XR Motorcycles

BMW Motorrad is carrying out a recall of BMW S 1000 R, S 1000 RR, M 1000 RR, S 1000 XR Motorcycles.

The affected products were manufactured from 06 May 2022 to 30 September 2022.

The risk reported to the CCPC is that of Injuries as the clutch cover may become detached, leading to an oil leak. Leaking oil may reach the rear tyre and/or drip onto the catalytic converter, creating a risk of an accident. This can lead to the rider falling from the motorcycle resulting in bruising and fractures.

There are approximately 690 affected products in the Republic of Ireland.
