BMW recalls Passenger vehicles BMW Mini One Countryman, Cooper Countryman (B36, B38 engine), Model F60

BMW Ireland is carrying out a voluntary recall of BMW Mini One Countryman, Cooper Countryman (B36, B38 engine), Model F60 manufactured between December 30, 2016 and August 13 2018.

The fault affects the crash protection plate of the high pressure fuel pump in the engine compartment. In a front crash of sufficient severity, the pump could become damaged which could increase the risk of fuel leak and in an extreme case, a fire.

This recall affects 37 vehicles in Ireland.

What to do:

BMW Ireland will be writing directly to those owners involved in the recall to arrange to have their vehicles inspected and if necessary the crash protection plate will be retrofitted. The letter will advise you to contact your nearest BMW dealer who will arrange to do the inspection free of charge. You can also contact BMW Ireland directly on 1890 719 421.
