BMW recalls Passenger vehicles G01 X3

BMW Ireland is carrying out a voluntary recall of BMW model G01 X3 manufactured between July 11, 2017 and February 23, 2018.

The fault involves the screwing of the rear spoiler to the boot lid. The rear spoiler is fixed to the boot lid with four screws.

Due to a fault in the production process, the screw connection is possibly missing. Therefore, the potentially affected vehicles may not have had the rear spoiler properly attached.

This recall affects 227 vehicles in Ireland.

What to do:

BMW Ireland will be writing directly to those owners involved in the recall to arrange to have their vehicles inspected and if necessary missing screws installed.  The letter will advise you to contact your nearest BMW dealer who will arrange to do the inspection free of charge.
