BMW X5 and X6 vehicle recall

BMW is recalling specific BMW X5 and BMW X6 vehicles.
This voluntary recall is being carried out due to a potential problem with the power steering. In some cases it may fail and the driver may have to rely on manual steering.

This recall affects approximately 1005 vehicles in Ireland.
What to do:
Letters will be sent by BMW to owners of the affected vehicles and customers will be asked to arrange an appointment to have the repair completed at their authorised service agent. Customers can also call BMW’s free-phone number 1890 719 421 for more details.
Any work carried out as part of this recall will be completed free of charge.
