Ford Ireland recalls certain Passenger vehicles

Henry Ford & Son Limited is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain C-Max, Focus, Kuga, Mondeo, Galaxy, and Transit Connect passenger vehicle.
The vehicles in question were manufactured between 2009 and 2013. There are 278 vehicles effected on the Irish Market.
A safety issue has been identified whereby, it is possible that if the clutch pressure plate breaks while the vehicle is in motion, this may lead to a loss in power transmission and the engine may catch fire. In extreme cases the bonnet may also unlock.
What to do:
Henry Ford & Son Limited will be writing to all affected vehicle owners directly advising them to make an appointment with their local Authorised Repairer where the clutch will be inspected and replaced.
