Ford recalls C-Max, Focus, Kuga, Mondeo, S-Max, Galaxy motor vehicles

Ford has issued a voluntary recall of Ford C-Max, Focus, Kuga, Mondeo, S-Max, Galaxy as a number of vehicles fitted with a 1.0, 1.5 or 1.6 Ecoboost engine and 6-speed manual transmission could suffer clutch pressure plate fracture. This results in clutch smell, reduced vehicle speed and performance
The vehicles in question were manufactured between 2 June 2015 and 17 August 2018.
There were 278 affected vehicles placed on the Irish market.
All owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Ford to arrange for the any remedial action. This work will be carried out at no cost to the owner.
