Glen Dimplex Ireland recalls Dimplex Portable Dehumidifier

Glen Dimplex Ireland is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain models of the Dimplex Portable Dehumidifier (DXDH10N, DXDH10, DKDH16N, FTE10, FTE16 and FTE20).

A safety issue has been identified with a batch of Dimplex portable dehumidifiers. A component on the printed circuit board may overheat, resulting in the product catching fire.

What to do:

Affected products can be identified be the serial number, which can be located on the product rating plate. This is accessible by removing the water tank (see images above). Affected products have a serial number starting with 501 through 522. Dehumidifiers with a different model number or that start with a different serial number are not affected.

If you have one of these affected models: Stop using it immediately and unplug it from the mains. Call the Glen Dimplex Ireland helpline on 1850 346666 (Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm) to organise a replacement product.
