Hyundai Ireland Recalls passenger vehicles on Ioniq Models
January 29, 2018
Hyundai Ireland is carrying out a voluntary recall on certain Hyundai Ioniq models that were produced between October 2016 and March 2017
Hyundai has established the vehicle aluminium housing for the EPCU may contain voids, allowing coolants to contact the controls unit’s circuit’s board potentially causing the vehicle to stall. This affects 127 cars in Ireland.
What to do:
Hyundai Ireland will be writing directly to the owners of the affected vehicles to arrange to have their ignition locks replaced with a modified version. The letter will advise owners to contact their nearest authorised Hyundai service centre to have the required action completed which will be free of charge. You can also contact Hyundai Ireland customer care directly on: 01 460 9800 or email service@hyundai.ie
