Hyundai recalls certain ‘Tucson TLE’ passenger vehicles

Hyundai Cars Ireland Unlimited Company is carrying out a voluntary recall on certain ‘Tucson TLE’ passenger vehicles. Affected vehicles were manufactured between February 2017 and August 2020.

A safety issue has been identified whereby the subject vehicles are equipped with Anti-Lock Brake System (“ABS”) modules that could malfunction internally and cause an electrical short over time potentially resulting in an engine compartment fire.

This recall affects approximately 29,480 vehicles in the Republic of Ireland.

What to do:

Hyundai Cars Ireland Unlimited Company will directly contact all affected customers advising them to make an appointment with their local Hyundai dealer or authorised repairer, where necessary works will be carried out on vehicles.
