I.M. Automotive Limited t/a Subaru Ireland recalls Forester vehicles

I.M. Automotive Limited t/a Subaru Ireland is carrying out a voluntary recall of a number of Subaru Forester vehicles.

Affected vehicles were produced between 2015 and 2018.

There are 261 vehicles affected on the Irish market.

I.M. Automotive Limited t/a Subaru Ireland has established that an electrical connection that is part of the occupant detection system may become loose or unstable. If this happens, the system can’t tell if the seat is occupied, and therefore may deactivate the airbag.

 

What to do:

I.M. Automotive Limited t/a Subaru Ireland will be writing directly to all affected customers advising them to make an appointment with their local dealer/authorised repairer, where any necessary repairs/replacement of parts will be carried out.
