IKEA is carrying out a recall on the ÅSKSTORM 40W USB charger.

The risks presented by this product are electric shock and thermal burns. There are reports that the cable can get damaged or break after being wrapped around the charger, or bent back and forth, after a long period of use. The damaged cable may result in thermal burns and electric shock.

The brand is ÅSKSTORM. The model number is ICPSW5-40-1. The article number is 60461197. All date stamps are affected.

There are approximately 1,063 affected products in the Republic of Ireland.

Consumers are advised to stop using the product and to contact IKEA for a full refund.
