It has been reported that the device may present a risk to the eyes and skin if people are present in the vicinity of the operating lamp. The product emits an unsafe amount of UV-C radiation (measured value: 8.75 W m-2). Consequently, a user in close proximity to the product will receive an unsafe dose of UV radiation to the eyes or the skin, increasing the risk of severe injuries. The above product was sold online through Amazon. 55 units in total were purchased in Ireland.

 

What to do:

If you believe you have purchased any of the affected Kacsoo branded UV Steriliser, discontinue the use of the product immediately and dispose of the product appropriately. You may wish to contact the online store from where you purchased this product to see if there are any remedies available to you. This can be done via your user account on the Amazon website.
