Lexus recalls Lexus IS and GS models

Lexus Ireland is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain IS and GS models.  The production period extends from 28/09/2004 to 03/09/2007 for GS models and 03/06/2005 to 14/09/2007 for IS models.

This recall is being carried out due to a potential problem with the fuel pressure sensor gasket and the possibility of a fuel leak. If this occurs, fuel odour may come from the engine area and fuel could leak past the gasket. In the presence of an ignition source, this could increase the risk of a vehicle fire.

There are 1,356 affected vehicles in Ireland.

What to do:

Lexus Ireland will be writing directly to those customers involved in this recall to arrange to have their vehicles re-fitted. The letter will advise you to contact your nearest Lexus dealer who will arrange to do the refit free of charge. Lexus Ireland can be contacted on: 01 4190222.
