Mercedes-Benz recalls C-class and E-class vehicles
July 16, 2018
Mercedes-Benz is carrying out a voluntary recall of the following C-Class (BR A/C 205) and E-Class (BR A/C 238) models which were manufactured between April 2017 and August 2017:
204, 204 AMG, R1EC
In certain C-class Coupé/Cabriolet (BR A/C 205) and E-class Coupé/Cabriolet (BR A/C 238) vehicles, the seat-backs may not be fully secured on the right-hand side of the front seats. If there are unsecured objects on the rear seats of the vehicle, they may not be restrained in the event of an accident if the seat-back is not properly secured, thereby increasing the risk of injury to passengers in the front seats.
77 vehicles have been affected in the Republic of Ireland.
What to do:
Mercedes-Benz Ireland will contact the owners of affected vehicles by mail and advise them to take their vehicle to a Mercedes-Benz dealer. The dealer will arrange for the replacement of the affected part. This work will be carried out at no cost to the owner.
You can get more information from Mercedes Benz directly on 01-4094444, between the hours of 09:00 – 12:45 and 13:45 – 17:15.
