Mercedes-Benz recalls certain ‘Sprinter’ model passenger vans
August 10, 2020
Mercedes-Benz is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain ‘Sprinter’ models of passenger vans.
A safety issue has been identified whereby, contact between the front inner wing and the front brake hoses can lead to the brake hose being damaged. If this were to result in a leak, this could reduce braking performance and thus increase stopping distances.
The vehicles in question were manufactured between 7 November 2017 and 18 March 2020. There are 1263 vehicles affected on the Irish Market.
What to do:
Mercedes-Benz will be writing directly to all affected customers advising them to make an appointment with their local dealer/authorised repairer, where any necessary repairs/replacement of parts will be carried out.
If you believe that your vehicle may be impacted by this recall then you can contact Mercedes-Benz directly on 01-4094444, or alternatively on the following web form.
