Nissan Navara D40 pickup recall – possible problem with steering wheel

Nissan Ireland is carrying out a voluntary recall of Nissan Navara (D40) pickup vehicles manufactured between 1 June 2005 and 3 July 2008.

A crack may occur on the spoke of the aluminium road wheel, which in extreme cases may lead to a wheel becoming detached.

This recall affects 4,132 vehicles in Ireland.

What to do:

All affected customers will be notified directly by post by Nissan Ireland inviting them to contact their nearest Nissan authorised dealer to arrange for an inspection and for the necessary work to be carried out as soon as possible.

All work carried out as part of this recall will be free of charge.
