Nissan recalls Note
June 8, 2016
Nissan Ireland is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain models of the Note. The vehicles concerned were manufactured in 2012 and 2013.
Activation of the driver airbag may cause an abnormal increase in the gas generator’s internal pressure and, in extreme cases, cause the casing of the driver airbag gas generator to break. This means that there is an increased risk of injury for the occupants.
There are 6,820 affected vehicles on the Irish market.
What to do:
Nissan Ireland will be writing directly to those owners involved in the recall to arrange to have their vehicles checked and if necessary fitted with a new gas generator. The letter will advise you to contact your nearest Nissan dealer who will arrange to carry out the necessary inspection/replacement free of charge. You can also contact Nissan Ireland directly on: 1850 302 302.
