Opel Meriva Recall

Opel Meriva Recall
Opel Ireland is conducting a voluntary recall of the Opel Meriva.
In vehicles in which the height of the seat is adjustable, it is possible that the steel cable for attaching the seat-belt tensioner on the outer side of the seat may suffer fatigue if used for a long time with the seat in certain positions. A steel cable suffering from fatigue could snap in the event of an accident, thus increasing the risk of injury to the person wearing the seat-belt.
The affected production period extends from 2009 to 2015.
There are 680 vehicles affected in Ireland.
What to do
Opel Ireland will be contacting the owners of all affected vehicles by mail and asking them to take their vehicle to an Opel dealer. The dealer will arrange for the replacement of the affected part if necessary. This work will be carried out at no cost to the owner.
You can get more information from Opel Ireland directly on 01-533 9818.
