Product Safety Information Notice on Belling, Stoves and New World Gas Range Cookers with Gas Grills

This is an update of the Product Safety Information Notice posted 22 September 2022.
A safety issue has been identified with Belling, Stoves and New World Gas Range Cookers with a Gas Grill (110, 100 and 90 models)

The grill on these Belling/Stoves/New World gas range cookers are unsafe and pose a serious risk to health, or even death, due to carbon monoxide poisoning. Using the cookers with the grill door closed can cause extremely dangerous levels of carbon monoxide to be produced, which can pose a serious risk to health, or even death.
Products within the scope of this safety warning have been purchased at any time between 2010 and 2022.
There are approximately 200 affected units in the Republic of Ireland.
Belling/Stoves/New World have confirmed that the affected products have been purchased by consumers in the Republic of Ireland from:

- Harvey Norman
- B&Q
- Homebase/HHGL Limited
- Buy It Direct
- AO Retail Limited
- BigBlue Product Design
- Armagh Electrical
- Jamisons Gas Centre
- Reillys of Enniskillen
- Sams Electrical Superstore
- Stearn Electric
What to do:
Belling/Stoves/New World will write to affected consumers in the Republic of Ireland to advise them that the grill on their gas range cooker is unsafe and poses a serious risk to health, or even death, due to carbon monoxide poisoning.
It is important that consumers contact Belling/Stoves/New World immediately on 01 691 7111 or via email to book a free of charge modification to your gas range cooker.
Consumers can also complete the web booking form on one of the following websites www.stoves.co.uk or www.belling.co.uk.
In the meantime, please ensure that you only use the gas grill with the door open, as detailed in the instruction manual.
If you no longer own the gas range cooker, it is still important that you contact Belling/Stoves/New World so that they can trace the new owner.
