A safety issue has been identified on a breathing otter plush toy sold on Grande-Peluche.com.

The risks reported to the CCPC are choking, burns and toxic ingestion. The seams of the product are defective. The fibrous stuffing material is then accessible and may be ingested by a child leading to choking. A child can also access the batteries in the product which can result in burns and toxic ingestion if the child puts the batteries in their mouth.

The type/model is Breathing Otter Plush – 30cm.

There is approximately 1 affected product in the Republic of Ireland.

What to do:

Consumers should stop using the product immediately and keep out of the reach of children.
